The winner of the National Grand PriX reaffirms as the best mare of the E generation

The Mares Grand Prix was the most outstanding test of the Christmas gathering of the Son Pardo racecourse. Eight 3-year-old females faced off over the distance of 2,150 meters to qualify for the 12,000 euros of the endowment.
Three participants set the tone, with Espiga des Llorer ahead from the same start and Esperanza Mar and Excellence competing for the second and third positions from the second and third lanes.
After the first curve, Esperanza Mar passed in front, leaving Espiga des Llorer second and third Excellence. Thus they stayed until the final straight, in which Esperanza Mar maintained its advantage, winning 1’16”6 from Miquel Mestre. Second stepped on the Espiga des Llorer goal and third Excellence.
